In a race without an obvious leader, either Great Buy or Great Gust can roll them along. SUPREME ATTRACTION (1) finished fourth behind the best horse in Alice Springs at the moment in his penultimate start and then tried hard when finishing runner-up here nearly 2 weeks ago over 1100m. He is probably better over 1400m these days, and he can go one better. VENTING (4) is dropping back from a modest effort over 2000m in a stronger field last time out. The small field size here will suit him, as will the drop back to 1400m. Stick with him. GREAT GUST (3) has more upside than most in this, and he made it 2 wins from 3 starts this prep with a brave nose win here last time out. He is nicely placed after a 2kg claim, and there is no reason why he can't double the dose. GREAT BUY (2) had no luck here last time out after some strong form before that. He only faces 4 others this time and is expected to bounce back straight away. MATHEMATICS (5) is a durable veteran who isn't without some top 3 claims, given the right run. Don't totally ignore him. SUGGESTED PLAY: Supreme Attraction each-way.
