A race that lacks pace so expect a muddling tempo at best. TAGANO ABBY (3) resumed over 2000m in the G2 Sankei Sports Sho Flora Stakes (Japanese Oaks Trial) at Tokyo where she showed little early speed but got home nicely to finish fifth, beaten 3 lengths. Well back in grade and will prove hard to hold out. SAY CUTE (4) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 2400m at Hanshin, scoring by 2.5 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Progressing well so worth following up. EVER GROOVE (6) was a winner two back at Hanshin then was competitive last time when fourth over 1800m at Hanshin, beaten only 2.5 lengths. Riki Takasugi stays on. Capable of running a bold race. DOGGED (5) finished 11th when resuming from a spell last start over 2000m at Tokyo. Fitter and this far easier. Can improve sharply.
