Strong tempo expected with Left Fielder, Maser Kic and Calluna Vulgaris prominent. CANDLEBERRY (8) just missed last time when a neck away in second at Mizusawa over 850m. Expected to go well. LEFT FIELDER (10) ran below expectations last time at Mizusawa, finishing fifth and beaten 1.4 lengths starting at $3.20. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the key runners. MASER KIC (1) remains a maiden after 26 runs. Met with plenty of support last time but could only manage to finish fourth over 1400m at Mizusawa. Suited in this line up and is among the better hopes. LA LA MONSTRE (11) improved last time out, finishing 0.6 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1400m at Mizusawa. Nicely placed to maintain the form.
