Solid tempo with Suprendre going forward from the good draw.
RUSSIAN MYSTIC (3) got back early on from a wide gate here nearly 2 weeks ago over a mile and ran on late, finishing runner-up. He has an extra furlong to travel this time and is overdue for his next win. LOVEY DOVEY (8) did nothing on debut at Doomben and then improved sharply to score by a neck at Ipswich just over 3 weeks ago. She is bred to continue to improve with racing, and despite a wide gate, she can double the dose. DOWN UNDER STUNNAH (11) steadily improved in each of her 3 starts and got the job done easily over 2200m here nearly 4 weeks ago. She has a future over a middle distance, and with the advantage of the pole position, she will be right in the finish again. SANCTUARY STORM (9) needed his first run back from a spell over 1350m on a heavy track at Doomben and will improve quickly with the step up to a middle distance. Each way claims in another very even field. SAVANNAH GANGSTER (1) has the blinkers on for the first time third up, and is not without some chance here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Savannah Gangster each way.
