Expecting a solid tempo set up by Pray Day crossing from the outside stall. Tricky. DIAMOND GUST (2) wasn't far away when in the market at Geelong last time having acquitted himself well against much stronger 3yo company at Caulfield prior. Back a notch in grade again here and out to 2000m for the first time sets up well from an ideal gate. PRAY DAY (7) found the right race here last time in a 0-62 and duly saluted, backed into $1.50 and coming right away. He's another on trial at the trip but it should be fine if Mott can get across early. SALSITA (13) ran well fresh at Sale over 1717m, beaten 1.3 lengths into third. He got home nicely there and should be fitter going up in trip which will suit. PINK CHANDON (8) did enough in a stronger race last start which was a dash home, the win prior was easy and this suits. CORONA LAD (4) ran well last time when edging Salsita for second, respecting. SUGGESTED PLAY: Diamond Gust on top.
