Expecting Silverwater Kid to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. DEFIANCE (3) resumed in a strong Maiden with a tiring fifth over 1100m at Hawkesbury after sitting on the fast tempo. Comes back to the 1000m here and will take catching around the tight Wyong track. Go close. BRUCE I AM (1) Star Turn gelding from the good producing mare Crystal Rock on debut for the Joe Pride yard. Has looked strong in all four trials and maps to get the right run. Can sprint well first-up. ASK DI (4) resumes from a lengthy break. Pulled up with cardiac arrythmia on debut when she dropped out sharply to finish eighth over 1000m at Hawkesbury. Primed for this with the two trials and not without top-three claims. DENISE'S GAL (8) all four runs have been okay and resumes from the inside draw. Finished sixth in a tight contest over 1100m at Gosford on January 9. Fitter after a recent trial win with the key jockey change. Leading contender. SUGGESTED PLAY: Box Quinella 3,1,4,8.
