Plenty of pace established by Altai Ranger, Barn Zee and Pharoah's Glory, with Boulder Jack close at hand. PHAROAH'S GLORY (6) brings strong form to resumption and performs fresh. Won a 62 at Ballarat by a space two back and wasn't disgraced in a 66 in town following, seeking the hat-trick. Won a recent jump-out at Ararat and has the early speed to manage the awkward gate. SHEZASMOKEY (8) did a good job to place at Moe first-up and then just a run over 1200m at Pakenham on a soft track. She will be fitter and has more to give. Nolen is a key jockey booking, and she can improve into the finish. CASH CONVERTER (4) resumed with decent support at Bairnsdale but looked a run short. He just missed in town over a mile two starts back and has placed 2/2 second-up. Needs some luck in the run, but Newitt rides today and the longer sprint suits. WALLABY JACK (12) cleared Maidens comfortably at Berrigan off a nice effort at Yarra Valley. Has been kept on the fresh side, and his numbers say he can't be dismissed. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pharoah's Glory to win.
