Plenty of pace with Lightning Glory and Ballpark up front, pressured by Prince Harrison and Maidoff. Good competitive contest with plenty of different form angles. LIGHTNING GLORY (1) smart gelding heading in the right direction. Never headed on resumption with a slick win over 1250m at Newcastle in C1 company. Will appreciate the 3kg claim from the low draw. Got close. JOHNNY (2) raced without luck all prep and finally draws a decent gate. Came out fast with the 60kg when a narrow third to Your Chilli over 1300m at Hawkesbury. Brings a solid set of figures and will stalk the fast tempo. BRUTAL LOVE (3) is a consistent gelding ready to peak third-up. Drops in class after he attacked the line late to secure fifth over 1200m at this track. Winning rider hops back on and look for him late. HE'S COOL (4) is chasing his third win from his last four starts and appears to have further upside with the claim. Rounded them up well to salute over 1100m at this track a week-and-a-half ago. Undefeated here and expected to run the 1200m. Each-way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lightning Glory and Johnny can fight it out.
