Alkebulan to take up the running with Evade The Game and Kamigamo close at hand. SICILIAN WARRIOR (6) improved again, beaten a whisker over this trip at Beaudesert and then folded right up at Toowoomba, beaten a mile with no apparent anomalies found post race. If one forgives that run, he's the one to beat in this lineup. EVADE THE GAME (7) placed here over this trip and then didn't finish it off over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast on a slow surface. Better placed here and should be right in it. BENZINO (1) is third up and has been racing in stronger in town. Maps well and the step-up to a 1690m suits. Has been freshened and gets his chance in this grade. ALKEBULAN (10) led them up and found a place over 1540m on the Gold Coast poly and keeps the 3kg claim. Draws an inside barrier today, and the blinkers go on again. She can get into the money in a weak race. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sicilian Warrior is worth another chance.
