Strong pace from Queen Card, Blairii and Aydin Ace, with Fairy and Nobu on their heels. NOBU (5) started at $2.40 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth over 1600m. Was going very well prior with two wins and a second from his previous three. On his best form he is is sure to take a ton of beating. QUEEN CARD (8) missed narrowly two back then got the job done last start, scoring by a neck over this journey at this track after stalking the lead. In fine form and worth following up. AYDIN ACE (4) ran well last time, finishing third and beaten 0.7 lengths at $20.40. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Winning claims on best figures. BLAIRII (7) was in the firing line on the corner and finished second last time over 1600m at this track when resuming from a spell. Can progress.
