Strong tempo with Bayside and Ice Crystal leading the way over Mega Mic.
BAYSIDE (1) could not have been more impressive when scoring by 5 lengths on debut, whilst being geared down at the finish. He won't find this much harder and only has to carry an extra half a kilo. A good draw will make him the one to beat again. EARENDEL (2) was put aside for a spell after winning his debut, and then after some solid trial form, he was fifth fresh up at Launceston just over 2 weeks ago. He strips fitter and is good enough to figure in the top 3 this time. MEGA MIC (3) fought on gamely to finish second here nearly 2 weeks ago, despite having a tough trip. Top hoop Anthony Darmanin will replace an apprentice, and he can go one better. STAR WALKIN' (5) found a race to suit and got the job done by well over 2 lengths when running on powerfully from the back. If he strikes another solid tempo, he can repeat the dose. PEAK A BOOM (8) has been holding her own since winning her maiden in February. She drops 4kg from her last run, and won't be far away again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bayside to win.
