GASCOIGNE HANDICAP 1200m Track: GOOD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
A solid tempo anticipated with Anode and Super Fortune ahead of Ka Ying Attack and King Of Dubai. CROSSBORDERPEGASUS (2) should have won his last start after travelling wide throughout and then only going down by a nose. He has been back to the trials twice since then and had won both of his starts here before that last start defeat. Zac Purton keeps the ride from those trials, and he should bounce straight back into winning form here. KA YING ATTACK (6) ended his last prep with a brace of wins and has returned in good shape off the back of 3 trials. He only faded late, fresh up 3 weeks ago over 1400m and won't mind the drop down to 1200m. He has a good draw and is the main threat to the top pick. ANODE (1) is a promising colt who is making his local debut after showing a lot of promise in Sydney last spring. His 3 tune-up trials have only been fair, but come race day, Danny Shum knows how to get them up and running. Watch closely. LUCKY TWIN STARS (7) won on debut at Newcastle and was immediately bought out to join a Hong Kong stable. Include in all combinations.
