Expecting a strong pace headed by Jean Kazuma, Sunrise Earth and Meiner Emperor.
Promising stayer REDENTOR (6) last appeared when he demolished a Grade 3 field over 3400m at Tokyo on 22 February. Placed in the Grade 1 Kikuka Sho the run before that so he is proven at this level. Clearly the one to beat. SUNRISE EARTH (5) is the obvious threat after putting a big gap on his Grade 2 rivals in the Hanshin Daishoten over 3000m last time out. Yet to prove himself at the elite level but that last run suggests he is reaching new heights now. JUSTIN PALACE (13) resumed with a respectable sixth in the Grade 1 Osaka Hai over 2000m at Hanshin recently. Hasn't won for around two years but is always competitive at this level. SHONAN LA PUNTA (8) made late ground but was no match for Sunrise Earth at Hanshin when resuming last start. Each-way hope. BLOW THE HORN (3) also chased Sunrise Earth home last time. Finished second in this race last year so don't rule him out.
