Genuine tempo with New Future Folks leading the way. THE BOOM BOX (2) won his first 3 starts on the bounce and has finished third in his last couple of starts. He was less than a length from the winner last time out after having a rocky run, and probably should have won that day. Zac Purton is back in the saddle, and with a clearer run during the middle stages, he can set the record straight. Follow your money. BRILLIANT EXPRESS (1) was a tough winner against a similar field, which included the top pick, last time out, despite having a wide trip. He has been back to the trials since then and only needs some luck from a wide gate to be hard to hold out again. SUPER INFINITY (7) gets another chance over 1400m after finishing runner-up here 2 weeks ago as favourite, a head back from the winner. He is likely to race a lot handier to the pace this time and will be peaking his fitness third up. Stick with him. Each way. POPE CODY (4) had a torrid trip fresh up in his first local start and understandably faded out of it late. Don't drop him.
