Plenty of pace from The Night Ferry, Marine Merchant and Vixeninthevineyard vying for the lead, with a few others keeping them honest. GOLD GIBOSKI (1) has produced three good runs to date. Despite choking up in his last start run, he stayed on well to finish third. He should love the rise to 1600m and he jumps from pole position. Gavin Lerena retains the ride, and he should take a power of beating. SMART HORSE (3) showed some signs of needing his last start over this course and distance. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. ROYAL DAWN (10) showed massive improvement when second over this course and distance last time. He challenged strongly all the way to the line but found one too good on the day. He is back in Maiden Company and if confirming his recent improvement, he should be involved in the finish. BLAME IT ON ME (7) ran a fair race over 1400m last time. The 4kg claiming apprentice Sifisokuhle Bungane retains the ride and he can place.
