A race that lacks pace so expect a muddling tempo at best. HEART OF PLATINUM (10) has been a model of consistency of late. Came from well back on the corner to just miss last time out over 1512m at Port Macquarie. New to this trip but it looks the right fit. Great chance to grab a well-deserved win in a race that lacks depth. STRAIGHT THROUGH (3) broke his maiden recently with a tough victory over a shorter trip at Grafton. Lightly raced and just third-up today so there is a stack of improvement in store. BOLD SPLENDOR (5) returned to form with a close fifth over 2200m at Scone last start. Each-way candidate. IN ISO (1) is a non-winner but might be worth throwing in the exotics. PRINCE IS GAME (2) caught the eye late in the piece last start over this course and distance. Should be thereabouts again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Heart Of Platinum to score.
