Small field but expecting a genuine tempo with plenty of pace engaged. ETHOS (1) had been in top form landing two consecutive wins but last start missed the frame when ninth over 1400m at this track. Expecting significant improvement this time. ECLAT CIEL (4) closed last prep six months ago when he finished third over 1400m at this track. Has a win and two minor placings from four starts at this track and distance. Could prove tough to beat. FORTY STAR (6) finished fourth last time out over 1200m at this track two weeks ago. Steps up in distance today. Takayuki Yano sticks. Certainly one to consider. RARITAS (2) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when one length away in second over 1400m at this track. Well placed to figure prominently again.
