A distinct absence of early speed so don't expect any records to be broken. PRINCE RUPERT (5) returned from a six-month spell and registered his first placing in nine starts when an eye-catching third over 1015m at Coffs Harbour last start. Well served by a longer trip today so he looks a great chance to finally break through. HIGHLAND MIRAGE (2) is a twenty-start maiden back for a fourth campaign. Placed two from three when fresh from a spell. Worth some thought with winkers on for the first time. QUICK BUCK (6) was strong late but never looked likely first-up over 1250m here. Will be working home hard again. BLUE KINGDOM (1) is a first starter from the Lou Mary stable who is trialling well and has been very well found in opening markets. Two-year-old NIKODY'S BINKS (11) was caught off the track last start so the run is worth forgiving. Draws the fence today and can bounce back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Prince Rupert is very good each-way value.
