Abundant pace from Marcus Aurelius, Evan Almighty and Glenalmond vying for the lead with Black Eagle on their backs. ROCKANROLLIN (8) is a well-bred son of Wootton Bassett who produced an encouraging debut over this course and distance last start. He lost a length leaving the start, took time to find his feet but stayed on nicely to finish fifth of nine. He would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he may be the one to beat. BLACK EAGLE (11) showed good improvement when third over this course and distance last time. He stayed on well at the finish. He is a progressive type and may have more to come. DAY IN DAY OUT (12) was doing his best work late when fourth over 1000m on this course last time. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and he rates well as an each-way chance. MARCUS AURELIUS (3) should have finished closer to the winner on debut. He would have come on from the run and should like the extra 200m on offer. Aldo Domeyer is booked to ride and he should finish in the money.
