Moderate tempo with Soul And Jazz leading the way and a few others keeping in touch. GOD ESPADA (4) resumed over 2000m at Hanshin Dirt last time out and finished second, beaten 1.75 lengths. Overall record is sound when second-up and should be better for that first-up run. Will prove hard to beat. T O MARCONI (2) is having his first run since November 8. Has never missed the top-three at the start of his campaigns, and he did win over 1800m at Niigata Dirt at the start of last prep. Makes plenty of appeal. EIKAI SOUL (6) drifted well back then came with a powerful run to finish 1.75 lengths from the winner in third when resuming last start over 1800m at Chukyo Dirt. One of the main contenders. SOUL AND JAZZ (7) lines up on the back of a 4.5 lengths seventh over 2000m at Hanshin Dirt. Strong top-three chance.
