Good early pressure with Lot Pilina or Midge Champ likely to take up the running. MIDGE CHAMP (4) did a great job to score by half a length over today's course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. WISE PORTIA (6) improved sharply on his sixth two starts back at Monbetsu with success as public elect over 1400m at this track four weeks ago, getting home by 2 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to cope. TECHNO STRAWBERRY (1) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 2 lengths over 1300m at this track. Looks well placed and she should be in the finish again. LOT PILINA (5) scored two back at this track but was below her best last time when fifth over 1400m at this track. Well placed to turn things around.
