Keen speed battle, with Luxe Patrol, Northern Titan and Black Chalice prominent. GHILLIES' BALL (12) wasted no time getting off the mark as favourite on debut over 1600m at this track three-and-a-half months ago and has not appeared since. Leading rider stays aboard and expected to go close again. PIED DU LAPIN (2) was less than a length from the winner in second at Tokyo on debut before showing the benefit of that race experience when an impressive winner over 1600m at Tokyo last start. Has a low draw and can measure up again. SAINT ANTOINE (9) is a progressive three-year-old filly who resumes from a break of 12 weeks, her last appearance being a win over 1400m at Tokyo. Has won when fresh from a spell in the past. Has upside and bold showing expected fresh. NORTHERN TITAN (7) is back from a spell of three months. Won on debut at the only appearance last prep, scoring in a 1600m contest at Tokyo by a neck. On speed and a determined winner on debut. Can measure up again.
