Expecting a strong pace from the outset with plenty of speed engaged. GWEN'S GIRL (9) narrowly on top. Two runs back this time in have been good, run down late at Dunkeld fresh and then again in a handy maiden at Cranbourne when beaten a long neck. Should be at peak fitness now and Meech should rate the filly perfectly. MEET ME HALFWAY (10) is the clear danger. She debuted over 975m at Swan Hill and only went down by a long neck after showing early speed. She's been given time since then and should only improve. LEONA (6) is a mare by Trapeze Artist on debut for the Jusufovic stable. She's won a jumpout leading in and can measure right up. LOTS OF TORQUE (7) resumes. She showed glimpses last time in and could show up fresh. BLUES JAZZ (5) is on debut and has less convictions than a few of the others. SUGGESTED PLAY: Gwen's Girl to win.
