Solid tempo anticipated with Scorched Lane leading the way. SCORCHED LANE (2) was well fancied last start over the mile at Hawkesbury when battling on gamely into third after leading them up. Will find this a little easier than last time and should prove very tough to reel in. SWIFT GUN (4) took advantage of the good draw and landed on the pace last start before tiring to finish fifth at Corowa. Strips fitter with the three runs under his belt and gets a key booking in Boudvillain. Genuine threat. HEART BALM (9) got home strongly to just miss Pride Of Jezza here at the latest. The subsequent form from that race has stuck up superbly in 33 days. Kept fresh and can give this a big shake. GUY'S LAST PRIZE (8) never looked likely on debut at Moruya but closed off well. Will appreciate the added trip and should settle closer. Deserves a lot more respect with that run under his belt. SWEET HEAVEN (13) is another likely improver that deserves more respect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Scorched Lane hard to beat.
