Plenty of pace from Talana, Spills and Tryanza ahead of Piedi Veloci.
BABY RYAN (3) has won back-to-back races here by an aggregate of 8.3 lengths, two runs ago on a good track then last time on a heavy over today's distance. Getting up in the weights but not enough to stop him from registering the hat trick. TRYANZA (5) has not landed a blow in three runs this time in work, all in Class 3 sprints over shorter trips than this. Back in grade and might need this sort of distance now so give him one more chance. TALANA (2) worked home well without threatening when fresh from a spell over 1110m at Lismore recently. The winner of two from five at this trip. Down in grade and makes plenty of appeal. CARDSHARP (6) has been kept fresh since lunging late to score over this course and distance on 4 December. Wide gate a worry but should be competitive. PIEDI VELOCI (11) can improve third-up back on a firmer track. SUGGESTED PLAY: Baby Ryan to win again.
