Cayman Island is expected to burn across and lead from the wide alley. BELNERA (6) finds the maiden win elusive but it certainly hasn't been without trying. Should settle much closer from the kinder draw this time and doesn't need to improve much to break through. CAYMAN ISLAND (4) is another that will look to roll forward from his wide draw. Has plenty of running in the legs, so should be in this for a long way. DEFLECTOR (9) gets a key booking in McDougall and has another good chance to break through. Should be at her peak fourth run from a spell. RING OF FIRE (5) was always a long way back on resuming here on Christmas Eve. Will at least be fitter though and showed promise last campaign. SUGGESTED PLAY: Slight lean to Belnera.
