Genuine tempo from Burleigh leading My Cherie Amor. BURLEIGH (1) gets his chance. He's had a few of them this time in with three minor placings, beaten as favourite his past two, but he's still run well and put up solid figures. He'll likely roll to the top here and be the one to get past. MAKARIM (4) is a gelding by Blue Point on debut for the McEvoy yard. He won a recent hitout at Flemington over 1000m and should be ready to go in what looks a good option. LICENSE TO EXCITE (7) resumed with a close up third at Colac, making good ground to be beaten 0.6 lengths. Fitter now and 1200m should suit nicely. ROYAL HERITAGE (5) stuck on fairly well at Werribee on debut and will be better for that with the extra furlong in his favour. CELESTIAL SPLENDOR (6) is a Deep Field filly on debut who can run well on her home deck. SUGGESTED PLAY: Burleigh to break through.
