Expecting a strong tempo over this journey. KING'S ENGLISH (3) showed what he is all about when putting it all together at Te Aroha just over 6 weeks ago, scoring by well over 5 lengths without being asked for a supreme effort. There is more depth to this field, but he is still improving, and he can win again. LUBECK (4) was a beaten favourite in the Listed O'Learys Stakes at Wanganui last start and has been given time to get over that effort. She had won a trial before that run and may not have coped with the short gap leading into her last effort. Stick with her. LUCY IN THE SKY (5) won twice as a juvenile form only 3 starts, and looked to be a smart type that could go on with it as a 3-year-old.
