There should be a bit of pressure with Aka Daka and Lucky Compass pressing forward in advance of Cable De Vega and Pacific Jewel. ROYAL INFANTRY (2) returned from a four-month spell and encountered a synthetic track for the first time when a barnstorming second over 1200m here last start. Sure to take a lot from that hit-out and the extra 200m is ideal. Clearly the testing material. PACIFIC JEWEL (4) led and gave a kick but just failed to hang on when resuming over this distance at Mildura recently. Only needs to handle this surface to be a tough bunny to catch. AKA DAKA (1) has hit the line well at his last couple, both over 1200m at this circuit. Crying out for this distance at the fourth run back from a spell. LUCKY COMPASS (11) has been kept fresh since a modest first-up effort over 1500m here as favourite. Open to plenty of improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Royal Infantry.
