Pace only fair with Bonfire Jimmy rolling to the lead ahead of Razzo Rosso and Starmae. BONFIRE JIMMY (4) settled handy and found the line well to hold onto third in a similar race to this at Swan Hill last start. Rock hard fit and with a soft run assured from the inside gate he looks primed to go a couple better. IMPENDING WAR (2) has failed to live up to market expectations in his three runs this time in work. Smart on his day and might be worth one more chance with the blinkers being applied for the first time today. TOMANADO (6) made it three on the trot when he cruised home over this distance at Echuca last time. Handled this surface with aplomb two back in a BM52. Toughest test to date but he is winning too well to rule out. STARMAE (7) has now had two runs from a spell and is shooting for her first win in two years. Safely held last start when sixth over 1200m at this track. Fitter and in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Bonfire Jimmy to win.
