Although on a small field the presence of some unraced runners should ensure a solid clip. SIGHT UNSEEN (6) has shown plenty of ability in her short career to date, and she has not been rushed, lining up here for her fifth start as a 5YO. She was brave in defeat off the front when resuming with a second at Waverley just over 2 weeks ago, and in a small field that lacks depth, she can take them all the way this time. UNDERTHEBOARDWALK (7) was put aside after her close up third fresh up at Hawera in the middle of May. She would have been kept in work over her time away, and a big run can be expected in this thin field. ROSA (5) will have the fitness edge over her 2 main rivals, and for some reason she was taken very wide into the home straight at Whanganui last week, when the first 3 placegetters all stuck to the inside. Stick with her, because we will be. RUSTY NAIL (3) makes his debut and he has only been seen publicaly once. He is in good hands, and would not be a shock winner. SUPER PATCH (4) makes his debut, and he won't have to be a star to run in the top 3 here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sight Unseen can win this.

Previously second-up 3rd of 14 at Otaki Mdn-Sw on January 9 over 1600m, 1.75 len behind Gossip carrying 55.5kg at $33.60. Progressing nicely and is sure to prove tough to beat. |

First up last campaign came from midfield; 3rd of 11 at New Plymouth Raceway on January 24 over 1400m, in the wet; 1.5 len behind Ryders Legacy carrying 53kg at $15.70. Trialled on July 14 at Foxton over 1000m and finished fifth. Everything points to a bright return. |
