Looks a keen contest with Brutal Force and Perfectly Good pressing for the lead with Brass Monkeys and Kelilah close at hand. LORD OF VALOR (5) didn't give his rivals a sniff last start when leading pillar-to-post to take out his maiden. Can go on with it now and gets the benefit of a 2kg claim. BRASS MONKEYS (6) is yet to strike through this campaign but has turned in some good efforts and gets the key booking of Loy. Have to take seriously. PERFECTLY GOOD (8) finished third two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score over 1400m at Albury. Keeps winning hoop and should have enough early muster to offset the wide draw. Bold showing anticipated. BRUTAL FORCE (4) was well fancied last start over 1000m at this track when fifth. Gets a key switch in McDougall and is well-placed to make amends. LANG PARK (2) is on the quick back-up after a disappointing effort at Gundagai. Gets weight off here and has peaks that can measure up. Worth another look. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Lord Of Valor.
