Decent sized field but it lacks any obvious pace. REICHSADLER (1) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing eighth over 2400m in the G1 Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) ten weeks ago. Has never missed the frame when fresh from a spell in three starts including a win. Winning rider Daisuke Sasaki stays aboard. Leading contender. MAKANA (6) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when fourth over 1800m in the G3 Fuchu Himba Stakes at Tokyo. Generally runs well when third-up and can turn things around. CANICULE (3) resumes today after filling a minor placing at her only appearance last prep in the G3 Fukushima Himba over 1800m on April 19. Commendable record at this trip with a win and three minor placings and shapes as one to consider. DEL AVAR (11) returns after a spell of three-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt. Among the better hopes.
