The Finnster has good early speed and can negate the outside draw. PICK OF THE LITTER (2) has been racing well in tougher fields than this since winning on bad ground at Te Aroha in early June. She is nicely placed at this level, and has no problem with the trip, so stick with her on top of this field. MALACHY (7) capped off some sound form over 1600m with an effortless win over 2100m at Otaki 10 days ago when whistling home out wide to score by well over 4 lengths. The step up in class won't bother him, and he can repeat the dose. COMEDY (1) has been racing well over jumps in his last couple of starts, and those efforts could have sharpened him up for his return to flat-racing. Stick with him at some each-way value. THE FINNSTER (9) likes to make his own rules in front, and if he was to be left alone, then he would take plenty of pegging back around this circuit. IDENTIKIT (3) has been building her fitness up in stronger fields than this, and she is ready to put her best hoof forward at this level. Include in all top 4 combos. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pick Of The Litter can win, and The Finnster with Identikit can bolster combos.
