Plenty of pace with Drialle and Royal Gladiator up front, pressured by Vovo and In Great Spirit. VOVO (9) led for the judge when resuming over 1200m here five weeks ago before tiring in the closing stages to miss the frame. Given time to recover from that effort. Sure to offer a lot more resistance this time. ROYAL GLADIATOR (4) is mixing his form. Down a little in class on the latest run. Should go forward and give backers a sight. EXCEED PERFECTION (10) returns from a 19-week spell and has switched to the Munce camp. Good provincial form in NSW last prep should stand up well. LAMBERTINA (11) won two starts back at Beaudesert but couldn't back that up when unplaced over 1200m at this track last time. Can bounce back. SUGGESTED PLAY: Vovo on top.
