Strong tempo likely with several going forward, headed by Renovatio and Shirakami Impulse. SHIRAKAMI IMPULSE (1) has been in the money at his last couple of runs, the latest when third over 1600m at Mizusawa. Toshiya Yamamoto who has scored on him two times retains the mount. Sure to run well. RENOVATIO (4) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1800m at this track, finishing second after being in contention on the bend. Finds a suitable assignment and can find winning form. RIKO HAWK (8) has been in good form, scoring three back at this track then placing twice in a row, most recently finishing third when he was always up in the leading division over 1600m at this track. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle. ITAZURA VEGA (3) finished a 2.75 lengths sixth on dirt at Mizusawa two back. Switched to turf last time at Morioka over 1700m and again missed the frame, finishing sixth. Goes well at this trip, recording six minor placings and has solid claims.
