Genuine tempo with the speedy Beneath The Stars leading the way. ASHOKA (1) has all the form on the board after back-to-back second-place finishes at Ellerslie, and he has also been placed in his only run on this track. With any sort of luck from his wide gate, he can go one better here. PINK GIN (4) was put aside after finishing fourth in her only start this year, and she cops a good draw here for her return. She would not want it too wet, and she can figure in the top 4 here. CHEEKY DEVIL (6) ran a far better race at Ellerslie 3 weeks ago, and she may settle a touch closer this time from a superior gate. She benefits from a 3kg claim and is another sound top 4 hope in a field with many similar chances. NULLI (8) was an upset winner on debut at Pukekohe before a couple of average efforts in handy fields since then. She is 5-weeks between runs and is worth another chance in this field. DUBAI ROCKIN (14) has been out of form but is racing for the first time this prep on his home track, and a better effort would not be a surprise to us. Include. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ashoka will be hard to beat.
