Solid tempo with Wonderboy leading from Platinum Sixty Six and On Alert. THE BLACK PRINCE (6) is a progressive gelding who put it all together when sailing home wide out to score a comfortable win at Hawera 5 weeks ago. He makes his poly track debut in a modest field, and with 2.5kg less to carry, he can take the next step immediately. TARZADOR (7) broke her win drought when beating a similar lineup here by nearly a length 3 weeks ago. She only has to carry an extra half a kilo, and she is more than capable of repeating the dose. LURCH (3) has been racing well since joining the Craig Lupton stable this year, and he will be getting ready for a new role over the jumps. He still has enough dash on the flat to win a race like this. Stick with him. WONDERBOY (2) blew out of condition fresh up here 3 weeks ago over 1400m, and he should be far more competitive with an extra 300m to travel second up. Include in all combos. VICTORTHEINFLICTOR (1) was a bold third here fresh up, and he usually improves with racing. Stick with him, despite the tough gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Black Prince can win this.
