Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Alla Rustica. Several close to breaking through. SORELL EAGLES (5) was beaten just a long neck last start and landed his first top-three finish in the process at this track over 1380m. Looks close to a win and gets chance. LIGHT WORK (7) was thereabouts last time out when fourth over 1350m at Devonport Synthetic after she was well back on straightening. The extra journey should play into her hands. Right in the mix. CALLED THROUGH (3) was in a rearwards position on the turn last time out before finishing 4.5 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1880m at Devonport Synthetic. Will be winding up late. TIMELY NEEDS (6) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fifth over 1380m at this track. Can feature in the finish. STRIP'N'TOUGH (9) will be handy in the run and is another not far off a win. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with Sorell Eagles.
