Solid tempo with several going forward headed by Shamrock Bay. TAINO ROCKET (8) took a step forward at Mt Gambier when finishing a close fourth over 1200m, showing improvement after a modest first-up effort. He is peaking at the right time for his poly track debut, and he gets his chance to break through. FOX MAN (5) has yet to hit top gear this campaign, but he was not far away turning for home at Stawell before weakening late there on a heavy track nearly 5 weeks ago. He should be nearing peak fitness now and can figure in the top 4 this time. FORTYFOUR MAGNUM (11) has attracted support at recent starts without delivering, though she did have a genuine excuse last time out at Swan Hill. Stick with her. DANI CALIFORNIA (6) has struggled in her past few runs, and she could appreciate being on a more consistent poly track for the first time. Each way value for us. MISS HIMALAYA (12) has not had much luck with her draws recently, and that continues here. She is well worth another chance, so stick with her on an each-way basis in a very even field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Miss Himalaya each way value.
