Expecting Something White to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint course. CALL ME MAURA (2) made a strong first impression when runner-up on debut at Swan Hill over 1200m, finishing less than a length from the winner when storming home late. With race experience now under her belt and a favourable draw, she looks capable of going one better. APACHE SUNRISE (1) has improved with racing this prep, backing up a fair first-up effort with a solid showing for third at Stawell. She gets every chance to settle close to the pace again and prove hard to hold out. SOMETHING WHITE (9) showed good speed before sticking on gamely for third at Seymour 10 days ago. She is peaking at the right time, and she rates highly. FINNISH GIRL (5) has been racing consistently and again hit the line well when placed third at Geelong last time out. She maps well and should be right in the mix. LADY IN RED (7) looks a capable type who should pick up a win at short notice. Include in all top 4 combos to be safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Call Me Maura can win this.
