Teams, Kintaro and Sweet Taboo to vie for early honours at a solid tempo. PLAYINASANDPIT (12) is a lightly tried 4YO mare resuming from a spell over 2200m, so you know she has done plenty of groundwork at home. She was just getting warmed up when finishing second in a recent trial, and despite having such a long time off the scene, she will still be ready to rumble. Follow the market moves. KAY'S RUEBE (11) ran boldly fresh up for second over 1200m fresh up at Hawera, and then found 1400m way too short for her there last time out 5 weeks ago. She will relish stepping straight out to a middle distance for her peak run, and she is well worth another chance. TEAMS (5) peaked on his run at New Plymouth, when over a month between runs, and with only 9 days since that effort, he can finish a lot closer. Each way value, especially with the rise to a middle-distance for the first time in his career. GALWAY LASS (13) got going far too late at Te Aroha last time out over 1600m. Stick with her at some value in this. BEAU MILLER (1) is getting fitter. Each way claims. SUGGESTED PLAY: Teams, and Galway Lass both at each-way value.
