Strong tempo assured from Rocket Ronnie and Savabeat leading the charge. ROMANIN (5) probably should have won a race by now, but will have a great chance to break her duck in a very thin field here. She will be at her peak fitness fourth up from a spell, and dropping back from a middle distance will suit her. With some luck from a tricky gate, she will be the one to beat. ROCK CATCHER (8) has hit the line strongly in each of her 2 career starts over 1600m, and the extra 100m third up could make all the difference. If she is close enough when they turn for home, then she can run into the top 3 this time. Each way. ACORN (4) ran her best race yet when finishing second here 3 weeks ago, and this slow-maturing 6YO mare gets her chance to make up for lost time with another big run here. Stick with her. ROCKET RONNIE (1) finished fourth on debut here over 1400m, and he has fewer convictions than any of his rivals here. The extra 300m will help him, and he will be a quick improver.
