A solid tempo on the cards with Legin taking charge.
VIRGINIA BREEZES (7) ran on well to get up for third on a heavy track at Coffs Harbour two back then was less effective last start on a soft track at Grafton. Today's conditions bring her right into the conversation. SHERIFF'S STAR (2) turned in his best effort of the prep last time out when beaten half a length over 1635m at Grafton. Handles the soft, untried on a heavy deck. Very fit and should be competitive again. LEGIN (4) kept coming to grab fourth at big odds recently over the mile at Grafton. Should be peaking now at the third run back from a spell. PRESSIPITATING (5) showed a glimpse of form at Grafton last start, beating home some of today's key rivals. Maiden lining up for the 21st time so hard to get too enthusiastic. ZAVY'S SUN (1) passed half the field but still finished nine lengths off the winner when resuming over 1218m at Coffs Harbour last time. Has only raced twice so there is plenty of scope for improvement. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lots of long-term maidens meet - Virginia Breezes just gets the nod.
