Strong pace from Cristaria, Swan Dance and Newcombe, with Convaaya and Le Plus Rapide on their heels. KING'S ANCHOR (4) continues to race honestly and was again in the money when finishing third at Swan Hill over a mile 2 weeks ago. The step up to a middle distance looks positive, and he shapes as one of the key runners. SWAN DANCE (12) has shown promise in both starts to date, following up a debut placing with another strong effort when runner-up over 1800m at Casterton a fortnight ago. She should get every chance to break through. CAMELOT TIME (1) was forced to concede a sizeable start at Seymour when missing the kick before making late ground into fourth over 2040m. If he can begin with them, then he becomes a winning hope. CONVAAYA (2) put himself in the race early and boxed on for second at Donald over 2200m. The blinkers are back on, and he can go one better. SPICEY APPLE (7) cops a wide gate, but his recent efforts can't be faulted. The Paddy Payne stable is flying, and his first win is not far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Camelot Time each-way.
