Reasonable tempo with Lord Seymour probably leading but a few others should keep him honest.
THEIR FINEST HOUR (2) appeared for the first time in 16 months last start and was far too good in a similar race to this at Coffs Harbour in heavy going. Has his share of weight but there must be improvement to come so stick with him. CAT EMPIRE (3) was also first-up from an extended lay-off last time out and did a good job to be beaten under two lengths here at this trip. Coped with the heavy conditions on that occasion. Big chance with that run under the belt. AUSTRALASIA (5) has been given a 44-day let-up following a distant third over 1405m at Coffs Harbour. Reliable sprinter who should be about the money. HOMELAND (9) was beaten a long way by Their Finest Hour at Coffs recently. Draws a better gate and gets a substantial weight swing after Palmer's claim. Should give a good account. LORD SEYMOUR (4) gamely chased Their Finest Hour home last time. Lightly raced five-year-old who is in the mix again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Their Finest Hour to win again.
