Reasonable tempo with Winston probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. DUNDONALD (6) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Pakenham Synthetic, finishing third and only a head from the winner at the end of 2200m. He's knocking on the door and sets up very well from the ideal gate. KAWA (8) made a strong late bid only to just miss last start over 2100m at this track. She was sharply up in trip there and can be improved, go close. QUITE THE LASS (1) was on a winning run of two races but last time out missed the frame when sixth over 2200m at Pakenham Synthetic. She goes well here and can return to winning ways. WINSTON (3) was beaten 4 lengths into fourth over 2036m on the turf here last time. Switches to synthetic for the first time but has the ability to give a bold sight from a low gate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dundonald to win.
