Solid pace likely with Vega Magnifico prominent along with Dakota Lee crossing from an outside gate. Sticking with the local pin-up mare DAKOTA LEE (11) who returned to form here last time scored over 1300. First try at the mile today but drops 7kg after lugging 64kg to win with ease latest. Will go forward and with the nice weight is the one to run down. MAGIC DEFENSE (12) was runner-up behind her in an eye-catching run. Much worse off at the weights, but the 1300m didn't suit last time and got well back before storming home. Won the Alice Springs Cup two back over 2000m so the mile is more suitable this time. Can run into the finish. CASINO SEVENTEEN (1) is an interesting runner making his NT debut. Former Victorian and is a dual Group 2 winner. The mile suits and has a great record fresh. Best ratings more than stack up in this field. WATADEEL (7) is a South Australian galloper who ran well first try in Darwin and is suited by the extra trip. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Dakota Lee.
