Howlin' Rain is the likely leader and should be able to get there comfortably. SIR ATLAS (2) is third up here having hit the line well in two runs back - first up behind the in-form Seafall before being beaten a head by Bankers Choice in an open handicap. Comes back a notch in grade and while he failed his only run at 2000m, he looks ready for another crack at the trip. AMLETO (12) was a good winner with 61kg two back at Ballarat before being unable to reel in BELLE SAVOIR (10) who raced away to score by 3 lengths in a big return to form. Belle Savoir clearly relished the rise to 2000m there and while she was big odds it may pay to take that on face value. The eye catcher of that race was PRINCE ERIC (9) who got a mile back off a slow speed and had no hope. He ran as well as he could but the draw probably means he's in a similar spot. STOP THE ROCK (6) was huge odds but got the bob in here last time, up to 2000m only suits better and he warrants respect. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Sir Atlas & Prince Eric.
