Genuine pace with Joker taking up the running ahead of Waldstein and Tagano Rampart. JOKER (2) resumes from a spell of 11 weeks. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 1700m at Fukushima Dirt. Opened last prep with a minor placing at Fukushima Dirt over 1700m. Expected to get off the mark. GOLDEN DRAGON (7) could only manage fifth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1700m at this track, beaten only half a length after being in contention on the bend. Likely improver with strong prospects. UNLIMITED (14) returned from a spell five weeks ago when he was beaten 7 lengths into sixth over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt. Fitter this time. Hard to beat in this suitable race. WALDSTEIN (1) is yet to break through after eight starts but not far off a win. Placed two back then missed the frame but was thereabouts last time over 1800m at Hanshin Dirt. The blinkers go on. Suited here and can sneak into the finish.
